March, 2006 Storm Damage

P3061029.JPG The first thing we noticed was the badly bent shed and leaning arbor.

P3061031.JPG There used to be a great big galvanized water tank here.

P3061032.JPG The metal shed looks like something large sat on it.

P3061033.JPG The ramada used to stand up straight, but the wind did it in.

P3061034.JPG CRUNCH!

P3061035.JPG Is there anything that isn't bent?

P3061036.JPG Where did that water tank go? It left a divot here.

P3061037.JPG Hot on the trail of the missing water tank. Here's the booster pump, lying on the side of the hill.

P3061038.JPG Ahhh. There it is, down by the well.

P3061039.JPG The forlorn water tank after it bounced down the hill.

P3061040.JPG I took the dog and drove down to the well to inspect the damage. It looks even worse up close.

P3061041.JPG Peeking inside, it's completely dry. I wonder if it would have survived if it had been full of water?

P3061042.JPG Another shot of the interior of the damaged water tank.

P3061043.JPG This end used to be the bottom.

P3061044.JPG Looking back up the hill at the trail of divots.

P3061045.JPG This was the top of the tank, before it blew away.

P3061046.JPG The end of the line.
